At LESD only 36% are proficient at Math and 48% at Reading. It seems all the board does is break laws.
If you have courage and want to make a difference instead of just talk to deaf ears, then AZPDE is for you!

In December 2020, The Litchfield Elementary School District (LESD)#79 Governing Board voted to adopt the Equity Statement. This document included the statement: "We subscribe to author Ibram X. Kendi's definition of anti-racism".
Kendi's controversial ideology is rooted in socialistic movements, promotes anti-capitalism, and has no place in the education of our children. Through the Transformational Equity Work (TEW) project, the Governing Board and LESD administration direction is to follow Kendi's radical philosophies. The TEW goals are to establish separate academic achievement and disciplinary goals based on race, hire staff based on race/gender identity and preference, and create a curriculum that is divisive and will create tension in our schools and community. This "anti-racist" approach to education is in fact racist.
The trainings for teachers promote learning about "privilege" and bringing "social justice activism" to the classrooms. These programs will teach our children to look at skin color first, as opposed to someone's character. These theories teach anyone not of color is inherently racist and how to address that - kids are either victims or oppressors.
